Uninstall Fallout 3 Unofficial Patch

V1.1.2 Released!Important: uninstall UF3P v1.0.0v1.1.0 before installing v1.1.2!The Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch is an extensive mod fixing various bugs throughout the Fallout 3 world and in the official DLC's!How do I report a bug?All bugs should be reported on the Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch bug tracker Registration isn't required and highly recommended you use it to report bugs as it will help me greatly in keeping track of everything but of course if you'd prefer you can still post/email=quarny@gmail.comemail/email me any bug reports. Very, very glad to see you working on this for FO3, too. You're a hero to this community, you know.Do have a question about v1.1 - as a patch maker, I assume you've been following the myriad complaints about it. Do you have anything to say about the various claims of bugs caused by the patch?v1.1 made the game playable for some and unplayable for others. I havn't really been following the 'bug' reports of v1.1 as the majority of them can't be fixed by us ('core' bugs). Also I don't experience alot of the bugs people report, first step to fixing a bug is reproducing it. Like that nVidia black screen bug in Oblivion, I couldn't fix that until my ATI died and I got a nVidia then I experienced the bug and could 'fix' it.

Quarn, I wanted to ask if your ESM Date Changer mod is still recommended for use with the Unofficial Patch? If I'm not mistaken you are the author of it, right?I decided to pull that little proggy after finding out it was actually pre-geck mod which was an esm with an esp extension causing the problems. ESM's load oldest to newest then ESP's load oldest to newest so after v1.1 Fallout.esm's date was changed thus the esm mod with a esp extension was loading before Fallout.esm thus the problems.By default Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch.esp is dated so it will be the first esp to load to avoid issues with other mods.Posts: 3440 Joined: Fri Jun 23, 2006 12:49 pm. I had to uninstall ufop because as soon as i left the enclave base, a started crashing, like 6 times in abt 20 minutes, including shuting down and restarting the game and 2 reboots.

Fomm showed your patch at the top of the list. It worked fine inside the enclave based, just not out in the wastelands. I am running vista.I went to the control panel and removed the patch from there, rebooted and restarted the game and had no problems running the game.Posts: 3531 Joined: Sun Jun 18, 2006 6:33 pmDisplay posts from previous: Sort.

SummaryThis is an attempt to make the ultimate experience. Enhancing most parts ofboth Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas. Including graphics, quests, locations, interface, immersion, and gameplay.

This guide was created out of adesire to have a stable and heavily modded Fallout game, that once it was installed could take two of my favorite games and make them one story, turning two games into one epic one.It takes many cues from. One of the most thorough modding guides around, and an excellent Skyrim guide. After followingand some of(also ),it inspired me to make my own version. Thefor 2.9.4b can be found on the STEP wiki. Any questions or feedback can be posted on the. This is much the same as the above guides but borrows elements from all of them.

If you are uninterested in quests/locations, and UI enhancements you may prefer totry Worlds of Tomorrow as it is a bit more condensed. It features less mods, and is made by a very experienced TTW mod maker. There are other guides that have also been used in creating this guide.,and, are both great modding guides if wanting to modeither game separately. They are both very well written, and provide a great game. This guide will have many similarities to the above guides, and certain elements havebeen borrowed from them. Has also been a very valuable resource for the more modern aspects of the guidesuch as zEdit and xLODGen.

Is Tale of Two Wastelands the best option for you?Tale of Two Wastelands brings Fallout 3 into the New Vegas engine, bringing all thefeature and engine upgrades (reputations, crafting, iron sights, hardcore, survival skill)from New Vegas to the Capital Wasteland. It provides a bridge to connect the stories ina logical fashion. However it does have its short comings. Fallout 3 voice modulation does not workwithout the user re-encoding the audio. The Rock-it-Launcher does not work as seamlesslyas in Fallout 3. Grass distance is reduced due to a New Vegas engine bug (may be overcome with NVAC).Many Fallout 3 mods need a lot of work to be converted (e.g. Mothership Zeta Crew).

Additionallypatches need to be made for Fallout New Vegas mods to extend functionality to the Capital Wasteland.Balance is completely different as starting in Goodsprings at level 1 is very different than startingat level 30. Those are a few of the snags of playing Tale of Two Wastelands. If the downsides outweigh the benefits for you, Tale of Two Wastelands may not be for you.Otherwise proceed with the guide, the following will set up the rest of the guide, so followalong closely. Happy modding! Plugin LimitThe game engine for Fallout New Vegas has quite a few issues, but instead of workingto solve those problems, a limit on the number of plugins was instituted during one ofthe patches.

There is now a 140 plugin limit, which will cause issues or just not load atall if this number is reached. In addition to that, the stability of New Vegas will decreaseas the number of plugins start to approach 140.The goal will always be to have, at most, 135 plugins.

If adding mods on top of the guide,be aware of the plugin cap and learn to use the FNVEdit merge script to lower the count. This is also the reason that Wrye Flash NV is so essential, since the Bashed Patch will lowerplugin count. Steam SettingsSteam overlay can cause some visual problems with some mods and ENB. If it is not needed,it is recommended to turn it off.

Additionally, it is reccomeneded to disable updates as theycan break a modded installation or TTW.
